Howard Kauk
Vice President, Outside Plant Engineering

Encompassing more than 21 years of telecommunications experience, Howard Kauk has held numerous positions involving various aspects of inside plant and outside plant operations. This has included many facets of operations, maintenance, construction management and engineering of long haul fiber optic networks.

Kauk spent over 7 years at Level(3) Communications. As Outside Plant Manager he was responsible for 50SP/ISP personnel, oversight of 22 Level(3) facilities within the states of Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin, as well as plant protection for approximately 500 miles of long-haul fiber optic network along public and railroad rights-of-way. Earlier, as an Area Manager for Level (3), job responsibilities included oversight of engineering and construction for approximately 2800 miles of the outside plant fiber optic infrastructure. In addition to that, Kauk held numerous positions at MFS Network Technologies. MFS Network Technologies designed and built outside plant fiber optic networks in various metropolitan cities throughout the United States for MFS Telecom. Prior to that, he worked for six years at HWS Engineering, where he was involved in surveying, engineering and construction management services for hundreds of miles of new fiber optic outside plant infrastructure for AT&T.

As Vice President, Outside Plant Engineering, Howard currently oversees facilities for Pinpoint's CATV and Telephone systems as well as the statewide Pinpoint/Fiberlink fiber optic network.
